Our Veterinarians

After receiving an Honours Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree, Dr. Sawyer obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Although she has a special interest in birds and exotic animals, she thoroughly enjoys treating dogs and cats too. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Association of Avian Veterinarians and Exotic DVM. Dr. Sawyer is committed to improving the care of all animals through her passion for continuing education.

Dr. Sawyer shares her life with her fiancé, dog, 2 cats, and 5 feathered friends.

Dr. Newman graduated with a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000.She also did a student exchange at the University of Bristol, UK. After practicing for 3 years at another small animal clinic, she is thrilled to have found a home at Millennium City.

She and her husband were married in 2004 and their son Benjamin was born 2 years later. He has to share the limelight in the family with her spoiled Labrador retriever named Kayley. Although in short supply since Ben’s arrival, her spare time is spent golfing, gardening and scrapbooking.
