Pet Wellness In Pickering
We believe all pets need regular examinations. It is really important for pet’s overall health because it allows veterinarians to do a thorough check-up and evaluate their general condition.
An important part of the examination is the time spent talking with our staff. Here at Millennium City Veterinary Hospital, our staff is here for you if you have any questions or concerns about things going on with your pets. We are here to discuss anything from diet to training, and much more. You might talk about something without realizing that it could be symptomatic. We might hear you say something that tells us to look closer or to run more tests to investigate the problem.
During the examination our veterinarians will look over your pets thoroughly. This is also a good time to discuss preventative medicine. We will make sure your pets are up to date on vaccinations and also make sure you have enough heartworm and flea and tick medications. We may also talk about routine deworming and other preventative medicine you need to know about.
There is another reason we recommend routine examinations. We hope to catch any problems before they turn into more serious ones. Our veterinarians are trained to catch things early before your pets are really ill. We may recommend blood work to further evaluate your pet’s overall health.
If your pets have not had an examination in awhile, please call us today to schedule one. Please don’t hesitate to call us at (905) 420-9555 with any questions you may have.
Pickering Pet Vaccinations
Here at Millennium City Veterinary Hospital, we truly believe in the importance of preventative care to keeping your pets healthy. We believe that vaccines are necessary for good health.
Vaccines are necessary to protect our pets from potentially harmful (and sometimes deadly) diseases. They are made to keep our pets healthy and disease-free.
There are many different vaccinations, so it is important to discuss your location and your pet’s lifestyle with our staff and your veterinarian. Not every pet needs to be vaccinated against every disease. There are core vaccinations, which include rabies and distemper. These should be given to every pet, no matter where they live. However, not every pet needs to be vaccinated against diseases like feline leukemia and lyme disease.
Our goal is to keep your pets as healthy as possible. We believe that vaccinating your pets is one of the best ways to do this. We always recommend vaccinating your pets with the core vaccinations. Depending on their lifestyle, we may recommend other vaccinations as well.
When you bring your pets in for vaccinations, we give them an examination to make sure they are doing well and not having any problems. If you have any concerns about your pet’s health, we can discuss them at your visit.
If you have any questions or are curious about the different vaccines we offer, feel free to contact us today at (905) 420-9555.
